I was a competitive swimmer for years, and my love for the water led me to become a lifeguard and swim instructor! I’ve been teaching lessons for four years, and I absolutely love helping swimmers of all ages build confidence and master new skills. Nothing beats the excitement of seeing someone overcome a challenge! My specialties include beginner and intermediate swim instruction, stroke refinement, and water safety education. I’ve worked with kids, adults, and individuals with different learning needs! Excited to meet all of you!

I hold an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and graduated high school with first-class honours, having also completed a French immersion program. Currently, I am enrolled in the undergraduate science program at Western University. With over a year of experience as a swim instructor and lifeguard, my favorite aspect of this role is the sense of achievement I feel every time a child I'm teaching makes progress. I have taught swimming and possess summer camp experience as well.

I specialize in building confidence in nervous swimmers, tailoring lessons to individual needs, and making learning fun through engaging drills. My background as a coach and summer camp counselor helps me connect with kids and adapt to different learning styles, whether it’s in or out of the water. I can’t wait to get started this summer!

I am currently studying a Bachelor of Arts (English Literature) at Queen’s University. I have been a Swim Instructor/Lifeguard for 5 years. My favourite thing about being a Swim Instructor/Lifeguard is the honour of being able to contribute to such a fundamental aspect of children’s lives. Swimming is an essential skill for physical safety and social inclusion, and it is so special to know the things I teach will stick with people as they grow! I pride myself on my flexibility and ability to tailor my lessons and teaching style to each child’s unique disposition; everyone learns in different ways, and I believe anyone can learn to swim — they just need the right approach! I strive to make each session feel personal and engaging so that swimming can be fun for all!
