What you love most about being a lifeguard/Instructor:
The thing I love most about being a lifeguard/instructor is not only being someone the kids look up too but also having them see me as some they trust, someone they look forward to seeing and taking lessons with. I find it very rewarding for both me and the kids, as they learn new skills we both gain confidence and pride because all kids learn differently so with every kid I teach there is a new experience I get to learn from.
Specialties:
My teaching specialties include experience teaching kids from only a few months old to kids that are 12 years old, I have also taught classes with special needs. I have previously been a volunteer for the City of Burlington and I have been apart of Burlington’s GHAC swim team. I now work for the City once a week as a lifeguard and swim at least three times a week in my spare time. Because of all my experience I’ve learned many teaching strategies such as games, songs, technique, etc to make sure the kids are having fun and learning at the same time.
